Are your services safe and secure?
Yes, HealthMark Group complies with all federal and state guidelines to insure 100% HIPAA Compliance.
 
What types of training are required from HealthMark staff members?
All HealthMark employees are required to complete an intense four week training course. HealthMark employees cover HIPAA, Release of Information, Fees for medical records, as well as medical terminology across all specialties in medicine today. Continuing education workshops and classroom education are required throughout the year.
 
How risky is it to transfer records utilizing the internet?
Healthmark Group’s first priority is confidentiality for all patients and our partnering facilities. We use secure HIPAA compliant 128-bit SSL encryption to insure all protected health information (PHI) remains secure.
 
What is HealthMark’s protocol for accuracy?
Documents provided for authorization are reviewed for authenticity (Medical Authorizations, Subpoenas, Disability Requests, Referring Physicians, etc) The chart pulled by the practice is reviewed against the request to verify the correct chart is processed by our staff (Name and Date of Birth – Social when available) Account manager verifies the scope of the request is met prior to and after scanning requested documents (All records, particular date ranges as authorized, limitations on sensitive information, etc) Quality Control steps taken in the field are independently verified by a processor in our Corporate Office. Recipient information is verified prior to release and the chart is matched to a unique delivery manifest created for each record. For requests released by fax an assurance is obtained that the fax machine is in a secure location prior to transmittal.
